The Carrie Diarries : Carrie Bradshaw is so back!

I'm now currently reading The Carrie Diaries and about to download the first two episodes this weekend.

I'm a huge SATC fan cause I just love Carrie's closet--who doesn't anyways? I so love her style so can you just imagine how happy I am now that I get to watch little Carrie rocking her famous signature style once again? Well, just a handful of stylish clothes from the first few episodes for now but  there are surely a lot more to look forward to. Check this out!

Prom is just around the corner, so why not try this Carrie's pink polka dot dress for a change?!

Who the hell in this world would dare pair a vintage prom dress with a cropped denim jacket? Who? No one but Carrie~lol!

Do you guys know the story behind Carrie's bag?! It gets it's signature style after a nasty nail polish accident. Very creative!

Silver and neon are now a perfect pair. She looks like a barbie here. I love her!

Isn't she so pretty and white and fresh?! Carrie looks so naive here, you think?

awww! The shoes are to die for! I envy her.

Don't you just love those totally iconic vintage outfits and accessories and how Carrie mix them up? I couldn't agree more, Carrie Bradshaw is Carrie Bradshaw! She's back and well, of course as stylish as ever! So seat back and behold she will  again spread the fab trend! yay!

Up next: I'll post more about The Carrie Diaries so watch out for it.

The cloudburst of a Superwoman wanna be

If there's one thing I hate about myself it's that I am this who thinks I have to do it all. I always worry with everyone and everything. I told you, I'm a superwoman wanna be and I'd like to believe that I have that great power to do everything. But like what Uncle Ben always said, 'with great power comes great responsibility'. Well, I'm sorry but I think that great responsibility, the pressure to do them all, the belief that I actually could is a such a big bluff.  I just can't understand why it has to be me~always me. I know, they think I'm super but like any other super heroes I also have my own sore point. I get tired too, I get helpless and frustrated and more often than not exhausted. Maybe it's a quarter life crisis but I'm sick and tired of shouldering all the responsibilities. I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives. I realized that as much as I want, I just can't take responsibility with everyone's life. This may sound selfish but I, myself  have needs of my own, dreams to fulfill and a life to live. So let me be.

I claimed it for my own, the super hero in me is tired. :(

37th UbeKeso Day : “Sometimes you have to lose to win”

It was an awesome Saturdate once again. Win or lose you're still the winner at least for me! Hahaha. You will always be my champion. You're the best! Happy 37th UbeKeso Day! I see you. <3

It doesn't take any money, don't take nothing but what you have inside
It doesn't matter itf you fall down
It only counts if you try
So pull the blinds and let the light shine through
Don't you think it's time for the light
To finally shine right on you
So let them know what's underneath it all
You won't fall
And baby you'll move mountains too
There is nothing really left for you to prove
Cause everybody knows you lose before you win
And if you're finally at the end of your rope
Well then you just begin
When the world feels like it's left you behind
Just get back up and you will find
Everybody knows in the end you got to lose just to win

Work Abroad: Be Who Yo Want To Be!

It wasn't really my dream to work abroad nor to go anywhere far away from my family. When I was younger I thought that going abroad is no good just because (ok, aside from I can't really stand not having my family around) I was afraid of riding on a plane cause I'm scared of it crashing--that was a lame excuse but yeah, that's true and I bet most kids do. I remember my dad once planned to work abroad and I stopped him, I really didn't like the thought of working real far just to make a better living--where being apart from your love ones is the price to pay.  I didn't get it why parent's would choose to leave their family behind for the sake of money. So I  made a promise to myself that I will never-ever consider working abroad--not even in my wildest dream.

But the thing is, as we grow older and the more we get mature our preferences change and so am I. Now that I am already a young adult and somehow quite experiencing the quarter life crisis, I am now starting to realize that there are a lot of things about myself that I am unsure of. It's really true that nothing is constant in life but change. As much as we want to stay a kid forever, we simply cannot--we will grow old and as we grow older that only  means that our responsibilities will get bigger too. And that's when we start to worry about the future and making life for ourselves. I mentioned here a couple of times before that I am really in that stage of life where I  wonder where I will be in the years to come. I looked into my life and I realized that it is not even close to what I thought I'd be having. No, don't get me wrong, I am perfectly happy with my life now-- having my family and love ones around--but there's more in life that I have yet to experience and I would love to experience them any time soon. That exactly is the reason why I am now breaking my promise not to work abroad. All of a sudden I am now so into it, maybe because now, I know better. I now know that there are a lot of opportunities there compared here. I am now ready to look for a brighter horizons, for a greener pasture and for a better life. I know for a fact the this won't be easy but I guess it's the time to completely start living outside my comfort zone-- welcome and embrace all the changes in  life and the possibility for new things and be who I want to be.

I’ve always believed that persistence can get you what you want--so I will definitely give it a try! In due time and in God's will I know it will happen. Wish me luck guys!

Welcoming 2013!

Sorry for the late post but I just want to share you guys what we had for NYE! So before Mikel and I flew to Quezon we made sure to spend New Year first with our family in Manila. It was just a simple celebration but we all had fun. Scared about stray bullet thingy so we just made ourselves happy and contented watching fireworks view from the window. Safety first!

I helped my mom preparing all of these! So sorry for the poor quality though, I just used my phone's camera and it has no flash.

Most of the fam members are kids so we always like have a birthday party set of food during CE and NYE! Also, Mom told me not to cook too much on NYE and have it on New Year's day instead since most probably visitors will come during the day.

12 round fruits for luck! I guess it's already a tradition for every Filipino family to have 12 round fruits for New Year. They said it will bring fortune and good luck for the coming year. It's not bad if you obey and follow the traditions for good luck  but do keep in mind that we still have to pull it by ourselves through hard work.

NYE  won't be complete without this yummy salad!  Ok, it's a special request from Mikel. He loves salad as much as he loves me-lol! Anyways, Mommy makes yummy salad, I dunno what her secret is! Gotta find out!

Finally, the clock strikes 12!--so after the countdown and the jumping sessions everyone were all in a rush to eat since they'd been waiting for that like forever (just look how hungry Mikel wass? he could really eat a horse!) --haha. And as for me, I really enjoyed the food cause  I know that this will be the end of the holiday season so I won't have any excuse to pig out again *sigh* must stick with my work out plan for 2013! *keeping my fingers crossed*

So, there you go! I hope you guys had great New Year too. And again have a blessed New Year from my family to yours! :)

Keep Coming Back to Quezon

I'm back! So just so you guys know I went to the jungle (lol)--no signal, no wifi and everything and I guess that explain why I had been mia for almost a week. I miss you guys and I miss my virtual world . But no, don't get me wrong, I am not complaining--in fact I'd been planning for that vacation and I am really happy Mikel and I were able to make it. It was just a quick vacation but we really had a great time. I know that our short stay wasn't enough to explore and to discover all the beautiful things Quezon has to offer but at least I was able to show Mikel a part of it, a part of where I grew up and I'm so glad he had  so much fun. Here are the photos I took, hope you enjoy seeing all these as much we enjoyed our trip!

This trip was really special because 1. This was our 1st trip to Quezon together and 1st trip for 2013, 2. I was able to see Nanay and Tatay after so many years, and 3. I was able to visit Daddy and I was able to introduce Mikel to him. That was really a nice way to start my 2013--and for sure more good things are bound to come. Living in the city can be fun and easy but nothing beats the comfort and peace a home town can bring. I am without a doubt a proud native Quezonian and Quezon will always be my home-- so like what I always say I'll Keep coming back to Quezon! Till our next trip!
