GIRLBOSS: A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

There are so many things that I love doing but more often than not I spend most of my free time watching tv series. It may sound lazy but seriously, you have to believe me it's therapeutic. It keeps me sane. When I watch, I can totally turn off the world around me and get completely sucked into whatever it is that I am watching. It's a total escape for my brain. It's great feeling, trust me. Thank goodness there's Netflix. Netflix will just  dump the entire season all at once and voila, you can binge watch all you want. All day, all night. And speaking of binge watching, I binge-watched 13 Reasons Why a few weeks ago and it was so great but disturbing at the same time. And as much as I love to blog about it, I just feel that it isn't my story to tell, so if you guys are interested and you need help you can check this link to get more info about it. I couldn't really stop thinking about Hannah Baker, so after finishing the series I looked for another series to watch that will help me forget her, good thing Netflix released GirlBoss the next month and I so love it. It excites me and and motivates me to start doing things I like. It reminds of the things I have been neglecting. It inspires me. I really love it when inspiration kicks me. Who wouldn't anyway? After all, we all need a little inspiration to keep us on track and to keep us going but sometimes inspiration is just so damn difficult to find. Too difficult that you just want to give up, let go of your dreams and just live life without purpose. You feel like you're stuck in a tiny bubble with no direction, just floating and waiting to vanish in the air. You have no where to go. Just like a stagnant water. A motionless murky puddle of water. I should know. I'd been there so many times. I am dreamer. I dream big. My Daddy told when I was little that I am special and I am capable of anything. That I can be whatever it is that I want to be. And I believe him. But there were days that I felt like it wasn't real. There were days that I felt like I failed him. That I wasn't capable of anything. That I couldn't be whatever it is that I want to be. I guess that's life. It's cruel. It's not always about unicorns and fairy tales. It's life. And no matter how tough you are it will hit you and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. But the good thing is, you always have a choice to get up and fight for what you're worth. Keep moving forward and win. It doesn't matter how long will it takes for as long as you're moving. Always remember that every little step (no matter how little) is a step closer to your dreams. Take chances. Take the risk. Accept challenges. Accept failures and learn from it. Get out of your comfort zone. Get better. Do what you love. Do what makes you happy. Be inspired. Be an inspiration. Live life the way you want. It's your life after all, be your own boss. Just like what Sophia did. My gosh, my introduction is so long but all I just wanted to tell you guys is I love GIRLBOSS and I am going to blog about it. I have been reading a lot of reviews about it and while others are hating it, let me tell you guys why I love it.

GirlBoss is a Netflix original series consist of 13 episodes and was released April 21, 2017. Inspired by Sophia Amoruso's best-selling book. This series follows the rise of Amoruso's multi-million dollar fashion empire, Nasty Gal. And here are the 6 Reasons Why I love GirlBoss.

(First) just like Sophia, I love fashion. I want to be my own boss and just like her I am dreaming of having my own fashion empire in the near future. And watching it gives me tons of realization about me and my dreams. It inspires me to keep dreaming. Stay focused, go after my dreams and keep moving toward my goals. It won't be easy but it will be worth it.

(Second) I love Britt Robertson. She's so pretty and talented and has played all sorts of characters from quirky and sweet, to those with a harder edge. In the series, she plays the starring role of Sophia, a rebellious, broke anarchist who decides to start selling vintage clothing online. Brit really did a great job portraying nasty Sophia. Sophia really is something, I hate and I like her at the same time. LOLS.

(Third) I love her friendship with Annie, her bff played by Ellie Reed. I love how they care for each other and  how much they love and inspire each other and yes, I love the 'I love you in case I die' thing they tell each other when saying goodbye. I totally cried when they had a falling out and then realize how much they love and need each other. Definitely bff goals. Made me miss my bffs. I can never really imagine life without them.

(Fourth) I love Sophia's creativity. The way she alter clothes. How she re purpose old clothing's into entirely new ones is amazing. I see myself in her. We actually have lots of things in common, including our love of thrift stores and altering clothes. My love for thrift stores run so deep that I would rather spend long hours browsing through racks and racks of old and used stuff than shop in the mall. Alter them and called my own. That feeling, so fulfilling.

(Fifth) I love the outfits Sophia and Annie wore in the series. So stylish yet look so comfy and cool. I love dressing up, it  actually boost my mood and overall confidence. I love mixing and matching old and used fashion pieces. Dressing up doesn't really need to be expensive, it doesn't require you to have a closet full of branded and expensive clothes. It's all about expressing yourself, being you and your style and be comfortable with it. You don't dress up to impress and please other people, you dress up to please yourself and to feel great. And besides, life is too short to wear boring clothes.

(Lastly) I love how the show empower women, the title speaks for itself. Sophia is without a doubt an example of an empowered woman. She knows who she is, what she wants and isn't afraid to go and get it. She takes full responsibility for her life. She makes her own rules. She values her passion. She takes a stand and most of all, she empowers other women. She is an inspiration to us. If she can achieved her dreams why can't we?

So DREAM BIG. Big dreams are the reasons why the world changes for the better. BELIEVE. When you believe in yourself, other people believe in you, too. WORK ON IT. Because dreams don't work unless you do. Everything is not as easy as it seems but nothing is impossible if you put your heart into it and keep a positive mindset. Don't be afraid to fail because failure isn't a bad thing, it's essential to learning. Never give up. When the going gets tough, keep on going. Keep moving forward and keep pursuing your dreams. Eventually, you'll get there. It's exhausting and draining but the rewards are well worth it all.

So there you go people. I hope you like the post and somehow it helps and inspires you to dream big. And if you haven't seen the show, it's out now and you can binge-watch all the episode from the first season online. Watch and be inspired to follow your dream and to never give up. After all, a DREAM is a wish your heart makes. Have faith in your dreams and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving if you keep on believing- the dream that you wish will come true. (I just so love this song). So yeah, just DREAM, BELIEVE and WORK ON IT like a GIRLBOSS.

10 Ways You’re Still Being Immature and NOT a Real Man

Boredom got me like.. a little sentimental. I miss home but I don't want to be back yet because that means 'hello reality again'. I am not yet satisfied with my vacation and I still want more. Or let just say I am not ready yet to be back on duty. No,Mai doesn't feel like being SuperMai just yet.I am still enjoying my so called freedom and me time. My vacation so far, taught me a lot of things and gave me tons of realization bout life and what I have been missing. I miss Daddy.I miss home, with home I mean, the life I used to have when I was little. Me, Daddy, Mommy and my sisters. That was perfect. Everything was fine.Just like the way I always wanted. Our little home. Our little haven. And how I wish I could have one someday. Err, senti feels. And now, just by seeing Ian's dad at home doing chores makes me wonder how it feels like to have Daddy around. I just miss him. If you are reading my previous entries you probably know that I am a Daddy's girl and I am really proud of my dad. Why not? he's the best Daddy ever. I haven't met anyone like him, not even close. My Dad is the epitome of perfection, I am not saying this because he's my Dad but because he really was. I just feel so sad that he didn't have enough time to show the world how every Dad should be like. If every Dad would be like him, there will be less lonely/ miserable women and children in the universe. So girls, before you commit in any relationship, make sure that you are with a 'real man' to avoid hell of a life. And how would you know one? Don't worry, I got it covered. I googled some info here for you to read. And as for you 'boys' care to find out if you're man enough?!

10 Ways You’re Still Being Immature and NOT a Real Man

1. Not Accepting Responsibility
2. Not Dealing With Conflict, Friction, or Circumstances Effectively
3. Caring About What People Think
4. Not Attempting To Keep A Good Reputation or Image
5. Kissing People’s Asses and Seeking Approval
6. Acting Overly Macho and Faking Being A Real Man
7. Lacking Respect For Yourself and Others
8. Lacking High Standards
9. Not Carrying Yourself Well

and last but the least.., I highlighted it because just like the writer of this post, I also find this one very big and important. The boyfriend could pass everything but this one..and I want him to work on it. I can see he is trying but more often than not he tends to forget, so I am writing this as a reminder, not just for him but for the other guys out there. I know boys will be boys but errrr, doesn't it feel so good to be a real man--you think?

10. Lacking Self-Discipline and Self-Control

I saved the best for last because this is a big one. Immature guys who are still boys lack self-discipline and self-control. Immature guys only want to do the fun stuff and not the hard stuff. They’re not able to discipline themselves enough to get the results they want.

Self-control and self-discipline. They’re not able to tell themselves “no” or make themselves do something that may not be fun, but it will be beneficial – like working out, going to bed on time, getting up earlier, saving money, eating right, and straightening up their life.

They’re not able to control themselves and they lack the ability to stop when enough is enough – like gambling, drinking, partying, slacking off, eating, playing video games, watching tv, etc.

Real men are all about self-discipline and self-control.

They know how to say “no” to themselves and they do the things that are necessary for their life. They do the things that aren’t as much fun but will improve their life – like working out, going to bed on time, getting up earlier, saving money, eating right, etc.

They’re able to limit their actions and control themselves when it comes to gambling, drinking, partying, eating, etc. They know their limit.

They don’t screw up their lives and fall victim to a lack of self-control like immature guys who are still boys do.

They’re disciplined and in control of themselves. Better yet, they’re in control of their life and everything in it. They’re in control of the direction their life is headed. You should be as well.

Bonus: Real Men Go After and Get What They Want In Life

Immature guys who are still boys sit around and dream, wish, and hope about how their life might turn out. They imagine themselves having or doing what it is they really want, BUT THEY NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

They talk about it and say, “It sure would be nice” but they don’t take any steps in the right direction.

Real men don’t have the time to dream, wish, and hope because they’re out there making it happen! Every. Single. Day!

Real men go after and get what they want. Whether it’s a job, career, car, house, woman, etc.

If it’s something they want bad enough and it’s worth getting, they get up off their lazy ass and make it happen!

They figure out what they have to do, put a plan in place, execute the plan, and get what it is they want.

A REAL MAN STOPS AT NOTHING to have the life he wants and DESERVES.

So if you’re sitting around on your ass day in and day out saying “that sure would be nice” while watching TV, playing video games, and doing other low-value activities, it’s time for stuff to come to a halt. Figure out what you want. Make a plan on how you’re going to get it. Execute the plan. Get what you want.

There’s too many old guys today, WHO WERE JUST LIKE YOU, saying, “I wish I would have” instead of being able to say “I’m glad I got off my ass and made some shit happen for myself.”

SuperMai needs to be Mai once in a while

Most days I'm superwoman but sometimes even my cape needs dry cleaning, my super power needs a rest and me--to take a load off. Keep calm and forget that 'Superwoman to do list'. Apparently, superheroes have bad days too, they get tired, they need a break and yes--they're allowed to vent their emotions and frustrations just like what you guys normally do. Yes they do. We do. I do. Even Superman has to be Clark Kent sometimes as SuperMai needs to be Mai (whenever I feel like it?). You should understand that I am also vulnerable and weak--there are times that I feel weak to even take my ass out of bed, brush my teeth and take a brisk walk. I also get pissed off at everyone and everything around me for no reasons at times. I do have mood swings too. More often than seldom, there are days that I don't feel like flying anywhere, saving life and even giving a hoot about what the f*ck is going on. Like the hell I care. I don't give a d*mn (pardon my french).

The thing is, I am actually not what you and I  think I am. I am no superwoman. I am no superMai. I am just a girl, lying in her bed asking for a good sleep. I am a contradiction of myself and it is effin confusing. Sometimes I wonder if which of me is my true self. Crazy! So just in case you're  and I am forgetting about the 'real me' being human, well let me remind you, I am and I do have needs, dreams, problems and a life of my own to deal with. Forget saving the world! I am giving myself permission to have an off  and be me for now. Forget the cape, the superpower, the to do list. Forget the responsibility, the pressure to do them all and the belief  I could. Forget the weight of the world, feel free, be carefree and break away. Guess I need to take the pressure off me to perform at 'super' once in a while because this is what I need to survive--and yes to stay sane.

Soundtrack to Mai-life

Raindrops keep falling on my head
BJ Thomas

Raindrops keep falling on my head
Just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed,
Nothing seems to fit.
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling...

So I just did me some talking to the sun
And I said, I didn't like the way, he got things done.
Sleeping on the job.
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling...

But there's one thing, I know:
The blues, they send to meet me won't defeat me,
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me.

Raindrops keep falling on my head,
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red,
Crying's not for me.
And, I'm never gonna stop the rain by complaining,
Because I'm free
Nothing's worrying me!

THE SUNDAY CURRENTLY | 01

So I just promised to update this so neglected blog of mine and with that I mean, now. Oh, well hurrah! Reading YayaDub's blog really made me miss writing so I guess yeah, this is it and hoping it will stay this way for good.

Ok, here we go. Like what I've said, I have been reading Yaya's blog since last night. I have been trying to do it for quite sometime now, or should I say since she became a constant topic both all over the cyber and real world. However, can't view the blog, thought there was something wrong with it cause the blog link on her IG bio does not seem to work. Finally last night when I tried again, it worked and that's merely the reason why I am here, kickin' my lazy *ss off to write! I call that 'The Aldub Effect', HAHA. I love them so much (who doesn't anyway?) that I have to stalk them on twitter, facebook, instagram, youtube, blogs and everything. And by stalking, I mean digging for info. *malala na toh* Lols! Never been a fan of a loveteam this much and  sorry to say, but I really don't watch much of my country's local 'serye' (drama series) cause I find them really annoying and so predictable. But Eatbulaga's so called 'kalyeserye' is a breath of fresh air. Maybe because it's funny and light and Jose, Wally and Paolo's humor never cease to amaze me. Not to mention Aldub's 'kilig feels' got me like, ohmygee-I-wanna-fallinlove-again *sorry boyfriend* haha. Oh well, going back to Yaya's blog- while reading, I came across  this post, which is called 'THE SUNDAY CURRENTLY'. It was a link up made by siddathornton and like Yaya I've also thought of joining the bandwagon because.. why not? Thought it is a good start for me to update my blog, do some real writings and have my mind off from worrying and over thinking stuff that I don't know how to handle anymore *sigh*. And besides it so happens that today is Sunday so here it is, my very first and hopefully not the last Sunday Currently post. :)

 CURRENTLY...

Reading

Paper Towns by John Green. The story made me feel like I am living a teenage dream haha. Read a review that said the movie is thematically the same as the book, despite its many changes, wonder what changes are those.. I haven't seen the movie yet cause I am still waiting for a good copy on torrent, lols. The Fault in Our Stars got me drowned into my own pool of tears while watching it so I am quite excited how Paper Towns (movie) will get me like while watching and after I watched it. And besides I am looking forward how Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff will do justice to their characters as Margo and Quentin. Nevertheless, I love Jonh Green as much as I love Nicholas Sparks. Seriously, these two have something in common- they both write about desperate, hopeless, forbidden love and they are really good at making me cry.

Writing

My very first *and hopefully not the last* The Sunday Currently entry

Listening

Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough by Charice. This is one of my favorite songs, it was originally sung by Patty Smyth and Don Henley but I must admit I am loving Charice's rendition of this song more, I just love how intense yet calm her voice sounded like here. So heartfelt and  relaxing that it can even put me to sleep.

Thinking

You gotta be kidding me? I actually am writing this so I can somehow get my mind off thinking but then since you're asking me, fine. I am currently thinking how to spend the day without my mind thinking of a millions things. There are so many random thoughts running through my head and I don't even know to get rid of them. I feel like they'll explode anytime soon so- next.

Smelling

Indescribable smells of nuts, nips and raisins that I am munching right now. (Pasalubong the boyfriend gave me last night)

Wishing

For a miracle? Hmm, a much deserve vacation soon.

Hoping

Get to spend and enjoy my whole hard earned money on me, myself and I. No rent, bills, debts and tuitions to pay. How cool is that? One day. I hope.

Wearing

Blue tank top and a pink sporty short-shorts. My typical pambahay fave.

Loving

My lappy, my Mixed nuts/nips/raisins snack and my Spotify playlist. Keeping me company while waiting for my next class.

Wanting

To avail The Old Spaghetti House's unli pasta and pizza promo now. As in right now. Cravingsss!

Needing
Mai is badly in need of an escape plan. A great and effective one.

Feeling

Feel like I am running out of steam. I am Sleepy and stressed and burnt out and exhausted and tired. But the good thing is I am trying to fight these nega feels by entertaining positive and happy thoughts. I can do it!

Have a happy weekend y'all! I miss you. See you Sunday.

xoxo Mai

My Love From The Stars: Fave Lines and Scenes

Have you ever wonder what's life like when your days have been numbered and your times running out and coming up so fast? Like what you realize when you finally understand that your stay in this world is not infinite?

Probably you'll realize that time is real and you'll recognize how you've been neglecting it. You'll suddenly have that deep realization that whether we live for a life time or not~life isn't long enough. And you'll wish that you could ask for more.

Have you ever thought of that? Haven't you? I hope so, but just in case you haven't~I suggest you watch My Love From The Star. It may have a light and comedic outer shell but it surely has an inner core that is poignant. Amazing how can a drama series taught us life lessons huh?! I couldn't agree more.

Okay, so here's the thing~ I finished watching the rewind of My Love From The Star last weekend on GMA. Though I've already done watching it a couple of months ago~I still tried my best to get up extra early every weekend so I could watch it again. I just love it and as what I've told you I can't get enough of their love story. It's one for the books! And as promised I'll post more about it and yes, here we go!

My Love From The Star or You Who Came from the Stars is a South Korean television series about an alien who landed on Earth in the Joseon Dynasty and, 400 years later, falls in love with a top actress in the modern era.

Main Characters:

Kim Soo-hyun as  (Do Min-Joon)
a very cold and distant being, he loved a girl who lived during the Joseon Dynasty for liking him as his true self, an alien. After the girl dies saving him, he waits to return home. Living a lonely and isolated life for centuries, he one day meets Cheon Song-yi, a girl looking exactly like the one he loved 400 years ago.

Jun Ji-Hyun as (Cheon Song-Yi)
a top Hallyu star who is very blunt and believes that she is every man's type, until she meets her stoic neighbor, Do Min-joon. She soon develops feelings for him and tries to make him fall for her.

If you're following my blog religiously, I guess you already saw my first post about MLFTS a month ago. I just posted some of their scenes together. Now I'm gonna share more and more and more.

Here are my fave scenes and lines from the series. I love everything about it anyway. All of the scenes were able to capture my imagination and my heart. I hope yours too. Check this out!

LINES:

Do Min Joon

Whether we live 80 years or 100 years, there's no person that would say life is long enough. Everyone says it feels as short as taking a nap.~Do Min Joon

All of you will sometimes wonder whether love will last forever. However, your love will not last forever. The expiration date of love follows the law of nature. And humans cannot escape the laws of universe.~Do Min Joon

If love is something sacred, then that's because it prospers and continues the race. It is nothing less or more than that. Therefore, do not allow the precious things or people in your life to suffer because of the brief illusions of love. ~Do Min Joon

Jealousy is one of the most childish and crude feelings that a person can feel. It's an emotion resulting from the fear that the affection from our partner may, instead, be bestowed upon someone other than one's own self.~Do Min Joon

'If you want to, and even if you don't, things are bound to happen.
Earthlings call it as FATE.'~Do Min Joon

Do you know why people fear death? Because they will be forgotten. It's because the world will not change after they are gone, and they eventually be forgotten. I was not afraid. Even if I left this world and went to a different world, even if no one remembered me, I did not care. But right now, I'm a little bit afraid. There is someone whom I don't want to be forgotten by. Right when I have to leave for another world. ~Do Min Joon

Although countless time has come and gone, the actual time I had left for myself wasn't very much. Now I know it all too well, that the length of time isn't important. What important is with whom you spend that time.~Do Min Joon

I have to leave soon. I can't take her with me or stay here. The only thing I can do is to disappear.
There is nothing I can do here. I can't eat with her, go for a walk, celebrate together, or anything else.
I want her to eat nice food, go for a walk, celebrate the good days, and live a good life without me. ~Do Min Joon

If I help you once, twice, thrice, continuously asking for help. That is the way people live. And, paying me back whenever, won't happen. Life isn't long enough for people to mature.~Do Min Joon
Just because we help them a bit, nothing is going to change for the good. In the end, things that are bound to happen will happen, bad things will become worse. ~Do Min Joon

Love can not defeat time. ~Do Min Joon

When you start to love someone, you start to have fears.~Do Min Joon

I've witnessed so much of a person being born, growing and aging, then died. So I thought that the end is death. But, yet, why did they try so hard? Except for the differing sequence of events, in the end, they were all people who would age, wrinkle and disappear. Why would they struggle and live so tenaciously, as if they're experiencing a war? An earthling's life, when observed from the sideline, is pathetic and futile.
But after thinking about dying, I've come to a realization. There is no one who lives for death. What important is living in that moment. Thus, even if the end has been determined, we can still be happy and can continue to live. It's simple. Yet, it took me a long time to realize it.~Do Min Joon

The greatest power that I possess is stopping time. I stopped time uncountably during times that you aren't even aware of. And I said this... I love you, Cheon Song Yi. Because if I told you while time was flowing by, I felt that everything would flow away and disappear. So I told you while time was stopped.
I love you, Cheon Song Yi... I love you.~Do Min Joon

Cheon Song Yi, my dear Cheon Song Yi. Don't wear clothes that show off your skin when it's cold. You're prettier when you cover up more. Like I said, no kiss scenes or back-hug scenes. No passionate melodramas. Don't get sick. And don't read haters comments. Don't sing and cry alone. Don't eat alone.
Don't get drunk and go into random houses. And don't look at the sky at night and wonder if it's this star or that star. You can't see it from here. But I'm going to see you from there. I will watch this place every day, where you live. And I will try to come back everyday. I will find a way to stay with you for a long time no matter what, I will do that. But if... if I... if I can't make it back... then forget everything. Everything.~Do Min Joon

Cheong Song Yi

Strangely, whenever I'm having a hard time, you are always next to me.
~Cheon Song Yi

But, why do I feel like you are lying to me right now?~Cheong Song Yi

To make myself look strong, I painted leopard prints on my nails, but my mind is not strong. I don't have confidence. I think I might get found out, the current me, that is. Not having money? It's fine. Money is something that comes and goes. One can always make more. But if I get my shabby-self found out, I feel like I might really break down. So, if it seem like I'm about to get caught,I'm asking my smart Do Min Joon to step up for me.~Cheon Song Yi

You didn't change your password. Don't change it. I keep forgetting mine, but I never forget yours.
It's weird.~Cheong Song Yi

I will give up. What's the point of having super powers? He always passes out after a kiss.
~Cheon Song Yi

Do you know what the worst kind of love triangle is? The triangle with the girl in the man's memory.
If she existed in real life, I could find out who she is. I could go fight her face-to-face. But if she locked away in your memory, how could I beat her?~Cheon Song Yi

When one sees someone who's in a better place than oneself, one doesn't think "I need to be in that place",
but rather one says "You should come down to the trenches I'm stuck in". I'm sorry, but I'm not going down there, into those trenches you live in, that hellish place where you live hating and being jealous of someone. I won't do it. So don't wave to me asking me to come down.~Cheon Song yi

Let me hold you for a second, I can't feel my feet. Let's say you were right. Let's say if you could hurt me whenever you wanted to, then why did you do it? Why did you save me so many times? You went along with everything I wanted to do, you listened to me. Why did you protect me? Why?~Cheon Song yi

If I could stop the time so we can stay together forever, I would even sell my soul. Because it's so hard for me to feel this way. I had once wished that I had never met you. But even if I could turn back the time, I would meet you again. We would have the same arguments again. You would have fallen in love with me again. I would love you again.~Cheon Song Yi

When life tests us, I wonder if it’s God giving us the chance to filter out the real from the fake.~Cheon Song Yi

I think I can live knowing you are alive somewhere. Instead of not being anywhere in the universe,
knowing you are alive somewhere is easier.~Cheon Song Yi

Is disappearing without a heads-up difficult to bear with? Of course it is. But it also makes me loves him more. Because every moment that we're together could be our last. And that makes every moment precious.~Cheon Song Yi

Just thinking about the days without him makes me so sad that I want to die.~Cheon Song Yi

Lee Hui Kyeong

I kind of like your life being difficult. I honestly like what happened to you. Because I can finally do something for you. There's room for me. I'm selfish, huh? But can't you call it love? I've been telling you about my feelings like a joke for 15 years. I joked about it because I was afraid you'd shut me out if I said it seriously. But can't you also called it love? You said it doesn't hurt your pride to cry in front of me.
You said you feel most comfortable with me because I've seen all sides of you. Can't you call that our love? Just call it love and come to me. I will take care of you and your family until death. You can live doing whatever you want, I will make that happen.~Lee Hui Kyeong

While appearing as a friend in front of the guy who can’t love you, you can’t be happy.~Lee Hui Kyeong

Yoo Se Mi

You're only thinking about him, you can't stop thinking about him. It's harder to not think about him. But at some point, you will realize that you're thinking about him. People live really diligently even though they know they're going to die. Even though they know they will break up at some point, when they love, they love like there's no tomorrow. These childish beings are exactly what people are. Things will get better as time passes. It could even become as if it never happened. But, although the future is important, isn't the present just as important?~Lawyer Jang Young Mok

Can you stay here by chance? If you leave, after you've come to care deeply for someone, then wouldn't the heartache suffered by the person who's left behind be commensurate to the depth of the feeling, not to mention the one who's leaving?~Lawyer Jang Young Mok

Sir, I don't want to send you away from my side. You might say that it's ridiculous, but I truly feel as if I'm a parent who is sending off a child.~Lawyer Jang Young Mok

After living, I’ve come to realize that one doesn’t need money, fame and all that. Once life ends, not much is left. So health is the most important. If you are healthy, you can protect your loved one.~Cheong Song Yi's Father

SCENES:

Do Min Joon: Do you want to know the method to not be hurt by people? Don't give or take anything.
Don't expect anything either. Then, you won't be disappointed or hurt.
Cheon Song Yi: Where is the fun of living then? You've never had a guest at home, right? Just by looking at you, you don't seem have friends either. Do you have a family? Living like an island like this, aren't you lonely?
Do Min Joon: There are over than 10 reporters who are waiting for you in front of my door. Out of people who live down there, more than half of them would know you well. Your manager, coordinator, fans...
There are always a lot of people around you, but you are here alone.
Cheon Song Yi: Why am I alone? We are here together.

Do Min Joon: There is a reason for everything. There must be a reason for people around you to leave you, Miss Cheon Song Yi.
Cheon Song Yi: What? So are you saying that me being like this is my fault?
Do Min Joon: Before holding grudge against the people around you for mot taking on your side, think about why you haven't been able to make them stand on your side. Perhaps, it's you that made you lonely.

Do Min Joon: Cheon Song Yi, get your head screwed on straight as you live. Whether you know the world or not, the world won't take it easy on you. Even if you crash unceasingly, even if you say you feel like you could die from how unfair it is, the world doesn't even care. You're on a cliff's edge right now. If you take a wrong step, you'll fall down into a bottomlessness wilderness below and disappear without a trace. So...
Cheon Song Yi: So... I'm asking Manager Do to stay next to me.

Do Min Joon: Because you really wanted to hear my answer, did you come all the way here?
Cheon Song Yi: No, I wanted to be with you. But, I want to hear your answer too.

Do Min Joon: Is it more important than I'm an alien and that I lived longer than 400 years? That I like you or not?
Cheon Son Yi: Yeah. To me that's much more, a thousand times more important. To me, it's more important than which star you're from, whether you're an alien, vampire, a monster, or whatever your past life was like. What the man I like, I mean, once liked, thought about me is more important to me.
Whether you like me with your heart even foe a second or if you were interested in me because of a girl you couldn't get over, is much more important to me. Isn't that obvious? You're the man I liked. Whether you saved me 12 years ago, whether you were that man or not, didn't matter to me. I just like you as Do Min Joon, my nextdoor neighbor. I like you with my heart. But if I were just a replacement for someone else, then you're the worst. If I still like you knowing that, then I'm even worse.

Cheon Song Yi, in her room: Help me so that I could forget. Help me so that I won't have any regrets. Help me so that I could be good to you.Help me...
Do Min Joon, in his room: Okay. But, how could I ever forget you?

Cheon Song Yi: So if he really doesn't go, he will die? Then he said that he is going to stay with me knowing that he could die? Why?
Lawyer Jang: He like you that much. Long before you started like him, he like you a lot. He like you more than you know. He didn't want to hurt your feelings. He tried so hard so that it didn't have to end up like this. I tried to stop him many times, but it was no use. He wants to stay with you at the cost of his life.

Cheon Song Yi: You saw me earlier, right? If you die while being next to me, I'm going to cry like earlier. For many days and weeks, no, many months, no, many years. Perhaps until I die. I'm going to blame myself, that you died because of me. I'm going to be in pain. Do you want that for me?
Do Min Joon: Then what about me? During all the long, long time, if I want to see you, what am I to do?No matter how much time passes, if I can't forget you, than what should I do?

By now, you guys probably got an inkling that I am really addicted to the series. Who's not anyway? Aren't those scenes and lines the best? And Do Min Joon and Cheon Song Yi are the sweetest? Right? Right? Right!

The story was over the top flamboyant, the lines and the scenes were all addictive and the characters were awesome. Need I say more?

Alright, now we can finally talk about the lessons we learnt. Anyone? As I mentioned above the series was poignant. It taught us not just about love but life lessons in general.

1.There's more to life than Power, Money and Fame:
It shows that that no matter how powerful, how rich and how famous you are you can't always get what you want. Those can't guarantee your happiness.I guess it safe to say that you can't really have everything all at once. That's life, it can never be perfect anyway.

2.A Person can never be entirely bad nor can be entirely good:
Looks can be deceiving. And what you see is not always what you get and what you should believe. Everyone has a dark side and inner beast within the same way everyone has good in there heart.Whether which one we will embrace is our choice.

3.Envy rots the bones:
Yoda from Star Wars once said 'envy leads to jealousy, jealousy leads to hate, hate leads to anger, anger leads to the dark side. It's a powerful emotion that can drive people mad and wreck relationships.
It will not let us live nor be satisfied with what we have.

4.Smart people don't think others are stupid:
People easily use to judge and jump to conclusions based strictly on what they hear or visualize.Sad thing about human, we are all guilty of judging quickly in order to retain our own innocence.

5.Love conquers all:
No doubt that love is capable of overcoming all obstacles, fear and other contradicting emotions. If you really love someone enough, you can deal with any problems that may come up. Therefore, love is the most important thing in life and it makes everything else seem less important.

6.Family is forever:
Regardless of differences, beliefs, imperfections and fights family is where you can find love for a life time

7.Quit hurrying and notice:
Why are you focusing on something ahead of  you that can’t be controlled,  instead of being here, instead of recognizing the joy within your days? You don't even notice what we are missing as you rush through the world. No matter how fast you move, or how many things you schedule, or how much you worry, or how many people you please, you can’t escape the truth about life. Seize the moment and notice life.

8.Appreciate all the little things. Appreciate Life:
More often than not, people tend to take for granted things that they have. They won't appreciate and value them until they're gone.  It's true that regrets are felt when it's just too late. Appreciate and value all the little things. Be thankful.

There you have it! I hope you like this guys and if you haven't seen My Love from the Stars yet, I suggest you watch it. You'll  surely love it.

xoxo

Movie Review: The Fault of The Fault in our Stars

My eyes were puffy swollen from crying, my heart felt like it was being crushed and I was nearly drowned in my own pool of tears. Oh, gosh I almost died. The fault of The Fault in our stars!

Did I just blame the movie? Well, I don't really mean to. I watched it on Father's day so I was extra emotional that day. I mean it's Father's day and it's a special day for my Dad, who died of lung cancer in 2001. Probably, one of the reasons why I love the book and the movie is because of my Dad. I lost him to cancer so I can relate to it. And the reason I think, why a lot of people love it is because it plays the common denominator of everybody that been through this phase of life. It' s not just another cancer love story after all, it's actually about losing someone we love and what's life after losing them.  If the movie makes us cry, then maybe we have dearly loved someone and lose them. And watching the movie brought us back to the days we were shattered. Gus and Hazel wanted to get more numbers that they can likely get so they can make more beautiful and infinite moments with each other and with the people they love. The same way I wish my Dad had more numbers than he got so we could do the same. We are all like Gus and Hazel in a way. We all have our own battles to fight. No matter how different we may be from one another we have one thing in common. We are afraid of losing what we have.

And what can be more horrifying and worst than  losing someone we love?  It's not easy to let go of someone we want to keep for life. It was like hell. If only there's something we could do to make them stay longer but sadly there's none. A sad thing in life. We can only try and hang on but no matter what we do in the end it's still His will.  It's something beyond our control.

The movie was right. 'We can go on to an extent trying to live life in control, but really eventually fate is going to step in and we'll see that the fault is not always in ourselves.' I think that's the reason why it's called THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. The movie wants to show us that fate is fate and we can't do anything about it.  If life hands us something that we can't control no matter how hard we try, it's not our fault. It's destiny.

Quite long for an introduction huh?

Oh well, going back to the main purpose of this post (which is for me to share my thoughts about the movie along with my favorite scenes and lines) let me first tell you what happened prior to that. The boyfriend is not a book worm nor a sucker for  love story movies. I had to convince him or else I will watch the movie alone. Glad he agreed to join me. We planned to watch it as soon as it hits theaters nationwide. Why not?  It has been the talk of the town since the book version was published and the film adaptation was announced a couple of years ago. I read the book but I'm not done yet. I stopped reading when I heard the news about the movie coming out soon cause I opted to see the rest of their love story on the big screen and plainly just to avoid expectations and disappointments. Can you just imagine how long I've waited? I 'd been waiting for the movie to come out like forever and I  can't hold my excitement any longer. I even followed their facebook page and joined the count down. Oh yes, I was that excited. And finally June came. I was like so giddy. Unfortunately we didn't have time (conflicting schedules sucks) so I kinda  prolonged my agony for a few days more.  It's a good thing though cause  I still got some time to emotionally prepare myself for a potential heartache. For I know too well, that the movie was set out to massacre my poor heart or even worse. So then, just to make the story short, we finally got to see the movie last Sunday. We watched it in the afternoon and almost missed~thank goodness we got there just in the nick of time. It's as if the stars conspired so I can finally watch it. Oh yeah!

The Fault in our Stars is a  romantic comedy-drama film based on the novel of the same name by John Green. The title is inspired from an act of  Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, in which Cassius says to Brutus:

"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,  But in ourselves, that we are underlings."

Not that the book nor the movie tried to oppose it but I guess both phrases works the other way around.

“But it is the nature of stars to cross, and never was Shakespeare more wrong.-John Green

Both Green and Shakespeare are right to an extent. Like what I've said above, if life hands us something that we can't control then it's not our fault. It's in the stars. It's fate. It's destiny. On the other hand, if we are given something that can be changed for the better and we chose not to, then the fault is in ourselves. Get it?

Okay then, let's go back with the story. It is an epic love story of two terminally ill teenagers, Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort ). They met, eventually got closer,  fell in love and fought for their dear lives to somehow make their little infinity bigger. Sadly, that's all they've got. Depressing. But can I just say that their kind of love is forever. It may be short but it's infinite. Did I just drop hints about the ending? (sorry) At least I didn't tell yet who the grenade was.

I love movies with happy endings. My favorites are those that have tragic love story though. Like, Titanic, A Walk to Remember, If Only, PS. I Love You and One Day to name a few. I don't know but I am so drawn to love stories with sad ending, those kind that will crush my heart. Maybe because the best romances don’t end happily, and the greatest love stories are tragedies above all. I find sad love stories  more effective as they give me pain and the pleasure of that pain makes me want to watch them all over again.

I'm a sucker for tragic love stories so I thought after watching tons of tragic romantic tales,  I already steeled myself from the tidal wave of emotions The Fault in our Stars will give me but no, I was wrong. I was literally bawling my eyes out and laughing (like crazy) all through out the movie. I was too overwrought. It's just that, the movie was so funny, heartbreaking and tear-jerking~I couldn't help it. My tears keep falling down, as steady as the rain. I was sobbing and all those tear-soaked tissues, my tear-stained cheeks and my swollen eyes can attest to that. Hazel and Gus' love story was too heartrending, I can feel them. Call me hyper-empathetic but Gus was right,That's the thing about Pain, it demands to be felt. Oh, how I love that line.

Well then, let me give you further details (rather spoilers) and show you some of  the scenes and the lines (almost all) I love most in the movie. As much as I want to keep the details under wraps until everybody got to watch it, I just can't. Lols!  I just feel the need to share it  (it's my blog anyway). It's going to be a major spoiler so if you haven't seen the movie yet stop reading. But if you don't mind, keep scrolling and get ready to cry with me. Ooops, don't forget to get your tissue boxes ready!

Hazel lying in the grass staring up at the stars, narrating the story. While scenes of her and Gus' little infinities are flashing.

"I believe we have a choice in this world about how to tell sad stories. On the one hand, you can sugarcoat it. When nothing is too messed up that can’t be fixed by a Peter Gabriel song. I like that version as much as the next girl does, it’s just not the truth. This is the truth” -Hazel

The support group. Gus stares at Hazel and smiles, gosh, his smile is to die for~I so love it. He's so handsome. Patrick asks Augustus how he's feeling and he said:

"I’m on a roller coaster that only goes up, my friend."-Gus

“There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does.” -Hazel

After the meeting, Hazel waits for her mom, and Gus comes out to chat with her. They see Isaac and Monica making out and groping each other, then repeating "Always" to one another. Gus explains to Hazel that this is their way of saying they'll always love each other. He asks Hazel her name and tells her she's beautiful. He then puts a cigarette in his mouth, which upsets Hazel because it has ruined her impression of him. Gus explains that he never smokes the cigarettes he puts between his teeth so as to not give the killing item any power.

“It's a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing.” -Gus

They stay talking until 1:00 AM. Hazel decides it's time to hang up. "Okay," Gus responds. "Okay," Hazel says back. Gus decides that "Okay" can be their "Always".

'Maybe 'okay' will be our 'always'-Gus

Gus tells her that he spoke to the Genies and convinced them to grant him the wish of taking Hazel to Amsterdam. Isn't Gus the sweetest? Oh my.

She calls Gus and expresses her sadness. He comes over and they sit on the swings. He tells her that her keeping her distance from him does not lessen his affection toward her. She compares herself to a grenade and that she will blow up and destroy everything in her wake. But Gus said he wouldn't mind to be hurt by her. Still, not wanting to hurt Gus, Hazel decides they ought to remain friends.

"I'm a grenade. And one day I'm going to blow up, and obliterate everything in my wake. And I don't want to hurt you."-Hazel

“Oh, I wouldn't mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you.”  -Gus

They go to a Dutch restaurant, Oranjee. Gus proudly declares his love to Hazel, which puts a big smile on her face.

"I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you.” -Gus

They get up to the floor with a vocal recording of Anne Frank's diary. As the voice talks about capturing beauty, Hazel and Gus share their first kiss. That kind of kiss! Heartfelt.

They go back to Gus's room and make love for the first time. Hazel leaves him with a drawing of the large virgin circle, and the circle of 18-year-old boys with one leg outside that big circle. Breaking free in Amsterdam!

“I fell in love with him the way you fall asleep, slowly and then all at once,” -Hazel

They sit on a bench and Gus tells her that when she was in the ICU, he felt a pain in his hip and got a PET scan. Hazel already knows what he's going to tell her. Gus says the scan "lit up like a Christmas tree", and the cancer returned and spread through his body. Hazel puts her head on his shoulder and cries. Gus tries to lighten the mood by suggesting they make out.

“The world is not a wish-granting factory.” -Gus

Hazel and Gus hang out with Isaac, who is now completely blind and tells them that Monica hasn't spoken to him since the break-up. To cheer him up, Hazel and Gus buy eggs, and they go to Monica's home and pelt her car with eggs.

Gus calls Hazel in the middle of the night to ask her to come to the gas station to help him. She drives over there to find him sitting in his car, covered in his own mucus and vomit, with an infection in his abdomen from the G-tube. Hazel starts to call for an ambulance, despite Gus's pleas. The ambulance arrives and takes Gus away. This scene makes me cry even harder. Poor Gus!

Hazel takes him to Funky Bones for a picnic. He expresses his desires to have left an impact on the world before he dies and his need to live an extraordinary life. Hazel takes offense to it and tells him that he doesn't need to do all that because she and his parents love him and that it should be enough. He says he's sorry and they drink champagne. This scene, while crying I told the boyfriend how tragic their love story is and he agreed. I feel sorry for them. *sigh*

“You say you’re not special because the world doesn’t know about you, but that’s an insult to me. I know about you.”-Hazel

The Mom and daughter hug is the sweetest. A tender moment between Hazel and her mom. Nothing beats a mother love.

“NO!” “I’m not eating dinner, and I can’t stay healthy, because I’m not healthy. I am dying, Mom. I am going to die and leave you here alone and you won’t have a me to hover around and you won’t be a mother anymore, and I’m sorry, but I can’t do anything about it, okay?!”-Hazel

“Even when you die, I will still be your mom, Hazel. I won’t stop being your mom.”-Mrs. Lancaster

Hazel joins Gus and Isaac at the church for what is a "pre-funeral" for Gus, since he wants to attend his own funeral. Isaac starts off a eulogy with a touch of humor, but says that if he ever is given "robot eyes", he would deny them because he doesn't want to see a world without Gus. Hazel goes up and starts to talk about her love story with Gus before saying that there are infinite numbers between 1 and 0, and that there are countless infinities, and that she is thankful for their infinity. They both say "I love you" to each other one last time. Literally sobbing at this part. So that's how it feels like to attend you funeral huh. More tissue please!

"When the scientists of the future show up at my house with robot eyes and they tell me to try them on, I will tell the scientists to screw off, because I do not want to see a world without him.”-Isaac

"Augustus Waters was the great star-crossed love of my life. Ours was an epic love story, and I won't be able to get more than a sentence into without disappearing into a puddle of tears. Gus knew, Gus knows. I will not tell you our love story because like real love stories~it will die with us at it should. I'd hope that he'd be eulogizing me, because there's no one I'd rather have. I can't talk about our love story so I will talk about Math. I am not a mathematician but I know this; There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1. There's .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2 or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set. I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But Gus, my love, I can not tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn't trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I am grateful." -Hazel

Gus dies eight days later. The Lancasters receive a phone call in the middle of the night to hear the news. Hazel's parents walk into her room, and without a word, she knows what it is and she begins to cry. She recalls a time when undergoing treatment and the nurse asked her to rate her pain on a scale from 1 to 10. Hazel said 9, and the nurse said she was a fighter for calling a 10 a 9. She says that she was saving her 10 for this sort of occasion. Well, Hazel is right.“It was unbearable, the whole thing, every second worst than the last,”. I'm bawling like I'm Hazel, like I feel the pain she's feeling. And yes, I feel her. I am very low on tissues. Come on!

"I called it a nine because I was saving my ten. And here it was, the great and terrible ten."-Hazel

That Daddy and daughter heartfelt talk made me miss my Dad even more. *Sob violently*

“I believe the universe wants to be noticed. I think the universe is inprobably biased toward the consciousness, that it rewards intelligence in part because the universe enjoys its elegance being observed. And who am I, living in the middle of history, to tell the universe that it-or my observation of it-is temporary?”- Mr. Lancaster

Gus's voice reading her letter/eulogy, saying that he saw Hazel in the ICU while she slept, and how he thought about them together. He expresses his admiration for her beauty and personality, and adds that people can choose who hurts them. Gus liked his choice, and he hoped Hazel liked hers. He closes it with "Okay, Hazel Grace?"

The film ends with Hazel still looking up at the stars, replying, "Okay."

“Van Houten,

I’m a good person but a shitty writer. You’re a shitty person but a good writer. We’d make a good team. I don’t want to ask you any favors, but if you have time – and from what I saw, you have plenty – I was wondering if you could write a eulogy for Hazel. I’ve got notes and everything, but if you could just make it into a coherent whole or whatever? Or even just tell me what I should say differently.

Here’s the thing about Hazel: Almost everyone is obsessed with leaving a mark upon the world. Bequeathing a legacy. Outlasting death. We all want to be remembered. I do, too. That’s what bothers me most, is being another unremembered casualty in the ancient and inglorious war against disease.

I want to leave a mark. But Van Houten: The marks humans leave are too often scars. You build a hideous minimall or start a coup or try to become a rock star and you think, “They’ll remember me now,” but they don’t remember you, and all you leave behind are more scars. Your coup becomes a dictatorship. Your minimall becomes a lesion.(Okay, maybe I’m not such a shitty writer. But I can’t pull my ideas together, Van Houten. My thoughts are stars I can’t fathom into constellations.)

We are like a bunch of dogs squirting on fire hydrants. We poison the groundwater with our toxic piss, marking everything mine in a ridiculous attempt to survive our deaths. I can’t stop pissing on fire hydrants. I know it’s silly and useless – epically useless in my current state – but I am an animal like any other.

Hazel is different. She walks lightly, old man. She walks lightly upon the earth. Hazel knows the truth: We’re as likely to hurt the universe as we are to help it, and we’re not likely to do either.
People will say it’s sad that she leaves a lesser scar, that fewer remember her, that she was loved deeply but not widely. But it’s not sad, Van Houten. It’s triumphant. It’s heroic. Isn’t that the real heroism? Like the doctors say: First, do no harm.

The real heroes anyway aren’t the people doing things; the real heroes are the people noticing things, paying attention. The guy who invented the smallpox vaccine didn’t actually invented anything. He just noticed that people with cowpox didn’t get smallpox.

After my PET scan lit up, I snuck into the ICU and saw her while she was unconscious. I just walked in behind a nurse with a badge and I got to sit next to her for like ten minutes before I got caught. I really thought she was going to die, too. It was brutal: the incessant mechanized haranguing of intensive care. She had this dark cancer water dripping out of her chest. Eyes closed. Intubated. But her hand was still her hand, still warm and the nails painted this almost black dark blue and I just held her hand and tried to imagine the world without us and for about one second I was a good enough person to hope she died so she would never know that I was going, too. But then I wanted more time so we could fall in love. I got my wish, I suppose. I left my scar.

A nurse guy came in and told me I had to leave, that visitors weren’t allowed, and I asked if she was doing okay, and the guy said, “She’s still taking on water.” A desert blessing, an ocean curse.
What else?

She is so beautiful. You don’t get tired of looking at her. You never worry if she is smarter than you: You know she is. She is funny without ever being mean. I love her. I am so lucky to love her, Van Houten. You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers."Okay, Hazel Grace?"-Gus

Did I just recapitulate the movie? When I said I'll share my favorite scenes, didn't I say I'll share most everything? Oh gosh, I should really stop remembering the scenes that made me burst  into tears  now before I suffocate myself into my own puddle of tears once more. Cause quite frankly, I can barely even recap all the scenes without tearing up. Watching most of the scenes in the movie were like a punch to the heart by Manny Pacquiao and to go through them again definitely means torture. Oh well, enough with the scenes and the lines. Let's talk about the lessons learned.

Overall, the movie was  over-the-top flamboyant. It's the most poignant of all. It inspires me and taught me multiple moral lessons. It's an eye-opener that helps me appreciate the people I love even more.  It makes me realize that nothing in this world is certain, nothing is forever but love. And most of all it gives me a deeper sense of gratitude and appreciation for life and all the little things.

Yes, life can be so mean at times, it can gives us a cookie and takes it away but still we have to be thankful of  what it gave us and of what we have.  As what Peter Van Houten taught Gus and Hazel, some infinities are bigger than other infinities. Theirs wasn't big at all but they are happy and thankful with their little infinity. Life is transitory it doesn't last forever, but with the time that is given to us, we can find some sort of purpose. Know it and accept it. After all, life is all about acceptance.

Life is pain but it doesn't have to be always a bad thing because some lessons in life are best learned through pain. We are all vulnerable and we all know that pain is inevitable but we must know that suffering is optional. Whether or not we suffer is our choice.

Life doesn't always give us good things, but we can still feel good when we live it in a way we want. So let us choose the life we really want and live it to the fullest. For we only live once, but once is enough if we live it right.

There’s so much more I want to share but I think my post is now too long and can already make a massive tome. Lols. I'm sorry for the word vomit. It's just that the movie excites me that much. It left me with too many emotions (you can probably tell I haven't recovered yet from last week's bawling, weeping, sobbing and all) all at once that I couldn't even put into words. Random thoughts keeps popping up in my head but my fingers can't keep up with them anymore. Perhaps, I need Peter Van Houten's help to make my post quite writerly. You think?

Did my (super long) post broke your heart, stole all your tears and got you dehydrated? Well, you'll get more if you watch it.  I hope my post get you psyched to see it. Go watch it, don't you dare miss the greatest love story ever told. Don't be left out. And oh, again keep a box of tissue handy. I mean boxes. Okay? Okay.
