Wandering Western Visayas: La Castellana, Mambangon and Kanlaon, Negros Occidental

Western Visayas Trip Day 2. We left Bacolod 5am to La Castellana, Negros Occidental. The original plan was to take an early fairy to Guimaras but Ian's aunt wanted us to visit La Castellana since it's just an hour away by bus, so we ended up heading Negros instead. Which was a good thing because if not, we could have been stranded in Guimaras due to Typhoon Lando. There was even a news about a boat going to Guimaras capsized at around 4pm that day and killed 6 people. Oh my, we could have gone island hopping by then--so scary. Thank goodness we were all safe in Negros. We didn't get to see the beauty Guimaras has to offer but there's always a next time. What important was, we were able to go back home in one piece and that we were able to explore Bacolod the second time around. God really has a better plan.

Though there was a typhoon, surprisingly the weather in Negros was pretty awesome that day. It was sunny and so Auntie Tita, Ian's aunt brought us to Mambangon Spring Resort. The trip going there was no joke, it was super bumpy--riding a tricycle going down was not a good idea after all--I almost die. I was so scared but laughed my head off at the same time--crazy isn't it? But it was all worth it, the place is the best. The water is so clean, you can drink it--swear. We had a great time, though I didn't get a chance to swim because it was the time of the month--you know what I mean--girls. Anyhoo, all in all it was an awesome experience. Definitely one for the books! We left 3pm because Auntie Tita prepared another amazing trip for us--yey! And this time, we just walked. Hahaha! Ok, off we went to Kanlaon--yass!

Too many instagram worthy photos. Can't even decide which one to post. This place is so gorg. too many breathtaking sceneries. We were wowed by the stunning views. Wow just wow! Philippines is indeed a beautiful country and there are a lot of places that are worth travelling. Thank you to Auntie Tita and family for this unforgettable trip (and the food). We really had a great time and we will surely go back. Hopefully soon. Ok, folks--that's all for Day 2 of our trip. Day 3 is coming up!
